Do I need to make an appointment?

An appointment is preferred, however if you are just dropping something off and do not need a fitting then you do not need an appointment. Please call or text to let me know you’re coming though.

Do you replace zippers?

I do not fully replace zippers. I can however sometimes fix a pull tab issue,  if there are no missing teeth in the zipper or missing bottom stopper, it can be repaired.

How much time should I give for a wedding gown or bridesmaid dress/formal dress?

3 months is preferred for a wedding gown however I can usually manage with at least 1-2 months. For a bridesmaid dress 1 month is preferred but at least 2 weeks is manageable. Some expedited fees may apply.

Do you do same day service?

Depends on the day, somedays I’m fully booked whereas others I may have some free time. Same day service is double the normal price. Same day services I would consider are: hemming pants, fixing a zipper, hemming a simple dress/shirt.

Do you do men’s tailoring?

I do some men’s tailoring, I can pretty much do anything with pants and button up shirts however what I do with suit jackets is limited. I do not adjust jacket shoulders or shorten sleeves with a button placket. It’s not because I can’t, it’s because I choose not to. Places that specialize in men’s tailoring have better machines to accomplish those services than I do.

Do you make custom apparel for clients?

At this time, I do not offer this service.

I’ve never gotten anything tailored, how does this work?

If you’re getting pants/dress/skirt hemmed, please bring your shoes you intend to wear with garment to the appointment. When you arrive for your appointment, I’ll have you change into your clothes in the fitting room then I will pin the areas that need adjusting (usually takes 5-10 minutes). You’ll leave your garments with me and I’ll have them finished within 1-3 weeks depending upon how busy I am at the time. I’ll ask if you need them back by a certain day and I can usually accommodate.
